Emily Reed, Founder & CEO
Emily spent a decade as Founder and Executive Director of an anti-trafficking organization serving sexually exploited teen girls in North Carolina through residential care and a social entrepreneurship program. She grew the residential program from a start up to a nationally accredited and licensed care home with an onsite school and a staff of fourteen. The program expanded by launching a sister organization in San Pedro, Belize. Emily’s work in the fight against human trafficking has been featured in Christianity Today magazine, CBN’s 700 Club, and other media outlets. She has presented to members of Congress in Washington D.C., and received numerous awards including a community leadership award from former FBI Director Robert Mueller. Emily graduated with a degree in Hospitality Management in 1999. Prior to her anti-trafficking work, she spent six years in event management with Hilton, Marriott and the Billy Graham Training Center, The Cove. In 2015, Emily became a Certified Faith-Based Nonprofit Coach with Ministry Ventures and is currently pursuing her certification as a Philanthropic Advisor from The American College of Financial Services.

With more than 20 years of ministry experience, Emily offers coaching and consulting to faith-based nonprofit organizations. She has partnered with over 100 organizations, guiding them in fundraising strategy, major gift development, capital campaigns, capacity building, and grant writing. This has resulted in over $10 million raised. Her personal mission is rooted in Proverbs 11:25 - The generous will prosper, those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed.

Jared Harbison
Chief Operating Officer
Jared is a seasoned leader with a background in the pharmaceutical industry. Jared brought his strategic management skills to Flagship in 2023. Overseeing the intricacies of daily operations, he has optimized workflows and cultivated an organizational culture centered on efficiency and effectiveness. He has played a pivotal role in elevating Flagships success. Jared's commitment to God and seeing ministry leaders thrive in their purpose compels him to position Flagship as a leader in faith based fundraising. In 2024, Jared launched his own nonprofit in North Carolina serving young men through farming, gardening, and trades programming.

Rebecca Johnson
Administrator
Rebecca is a motivated trainer, speaker, author and columnist for several magazines. She retired in 2023 as the Director of Education for a large software company rated the top in their field. She was named as one of the"Most Influential Women" in her field. Rebecca has been part of Flagship since inception. She has helped develop courses, webinars, and currently provides grant writing services. Rebecca and her husband reside in Asheville, NC and she volunteers as PLACE coordinator at The Orchard Church.

Tom Nolan
Advisor & Ministry Coach
Tom serves as the President of Growth Mission. Tom brings 25 years of ministry experience as a pastor and nonprofit leader to help organizations develop to reach their goals, outcomes and objectives. Tom has worked with organizations such as the New York City Leadership Center, Willow Creek, World Vision, Compassion International, Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and more. Tom lends his time to Flagship as a trusted advisor and partners to serve our clients.

Gavin McDonald
Consultant & Grant Writer
Gavin McDonald is a Lean Six Sigma and Business Analytics certified project manager with a proven track record with companies such as Bank of America, Protiviti, and Cherry Bekaert. He has strong project management and communication skills. Gavin has successfully led cross-functional teams to develop and implement cost-effective solutions that optimize operations and enhance business performance. He assists Flagship with grant writing and nonprofit capacity building. Gavin graduated with his BA from Greensboro College and is currently pursuing his MA in Community Development.

Jacob Fitchpatrick
Grant Writer
Jacob is currently pursuing a degree in Nonprofit Leadership at Colorado Christian University. With a passion for community impact, Jacob has developed strong expertise in grant writing, enabling him to secure funding and resources that empower nonprofits to achieve their goals.
