If you’ve ever stared at a grant application wondering where to even begin—trust me, you’re not alone. For most nonprofit leaders, the challenge isn’t passion or purpose. It’s readiness.
You might have a life-changing mission, a strong team, and programs that truly make a difference—but if your organization isn’t fully grant-ready, you could be leaving thousands (or even hundreds of thousands) of dollars on the table.
What Is “Grant Readiness”?
Grant readiness is your organization’s ability to clearly communicate who you are, what you do, why it matters, and how you’ll measure success. It’s about being prepared long before the application opens—so you can move from frustration and guesswork to strategy and confidence.
Our Grant Readiness & Strategy Coaching Cohort, starting November 13th, walks you step-by-step through this process. It’s a live five-session program that helps you build the foundation every funder wants to see.
Here’s What You’ll Build
Each session is hands-on and designed to produce tangible results—not just theory:
1. Building Your Grants Readiness Foundation: You’ll assess your current systems using a Grants Readiness Checklist, identifying what’s strong and what needs tightening before you ever apply.
2. Evaluating Programs for Grant Strategy: You’ll learn to define fundable programs using measurable outcomes, and create your own Theory of Change—a tool that clarifies your impact for funders and stakeholders.
3. Crafting a Winning Letter of Inquiry (LOI): You’ll write a concise, persuasive LOI using Flagship’s guided template—so funders immediately understand your purpose and potential.
4. Creating a Grant Project Budget: You’ll design a clear, funder-friendly budget and justification narrative that tells the story behind your numbers.
5. Finding and Evaluating Funding Opportunities: You’ll build your first Prospect List—five aligned funders who truly match your mission and values.
By the end, you’ll have everything in place to confidently pursue grants that align with your goals and capacity.
